How to assign a contractor from your contacts to a maintenance ticket.

Assigning Contractors
Once a maintenance ticket is created, assign a contractor to handle the work.
Steps
- Open the maintenance ticket.
- Click Assign Contractor.
- Search for a contractor in your contacts directory.
- Select the contractor and click Assign.
Adding a New Contractor
If the contractor is not in your directory:
- Click Add New Contractor in the assignment dialog.
- Enter their name, phone, email, and trade/speciality.
- Click Save and Assign.
The contractor is added to your contacts directory for future use.
Contractor Notifications
When assigned, the contractor receives an email notification with:
- The ticket title and description.
- The property address.
- Photos attached to the ticket.
- Your contact details.
Reassigning
To change the assigned contractor:
- Open the ticket.
- Click Change Contractor.
- Select a different contractor.
The previous contractor is notified that they have been unassigned.
Multiple Contractors
For complex jobs requiring different trades, you can assign multiple contractors to the same ticket. Each receives the same notification.
Tip: Keep your contractor contacts up to date with their trade specialities so you can quickly find the right person for each job.
