Creating a Maintenance Ticket
Maintenance tickets track repair and upkeep work across your properties.
Steps
- Click Maintenance in the sidebar.
- Click Create Ticket.
- Fill in the ticket details:
- Title — A brief description of the issue (e.g. "Leaking tap in kitchen").
- Description — A detailed explanation of the problem.
- Property / Unit — Select the property and unit affected.
- Priority — Choose Emergency, Urgent, or Routine.
- Category — Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, Appliances, External, or Other.
- Optionally attach photos of the issue.
- Click Create Ticket.
Who Can Create Tickets
- Landlords — From the Maintenance section or via the AI agent.
- Tenants — From the Tenant Portal.
- AI Agent — The maintenance coordinator blueprint can create tickets from chat.
After Creation
The ticket appears in your maintenance queue with its priority and status. You can then:
- Assign a contractor to handle the work.
- Communicate with the tenant about next steps.
- Track progress through status updates.
Tip: Encourage tenants to include photos when reporting issues — this helps contractors prepare before visiting the property.
