Account Preferences

Configure account-wide settings that affect how data is displayed and processed across Latch.

Accessing Preferences

Go to Settings > Preferences.

Available Settings

Currency

Select your default currency (GBP, EUR, USD, etc.). All amounts throughout the app display in this currency.

Date Format

Choose your preferred date format:

DD/MM/YYYY (UK default)
MM/DD/YYYY (US)
YYYY-MM-DD (ISO)

Tax Year Start

Set the first day of your tax year. In the UK, this is typically 6 April. This setting affects:

Tax report date ranges.
Year-to-date calculations.

Language

Currently Latch supports English (UK) and English (US). More languages will be added in future updates.

Time Zone

Select your time zone for accurate timestamps on activities, notifications, and scheduled reports.

Default Property View

Choose whether the Properties page defaults to grid view or list view.

Saving Preferences

Changes are saved automatically when you update any setting. A confirmation message appears briefly.

Account-Wide vs Personal

Preferences set here apply to the entire account (all team members see the same currency and date format). Individual notification preferences are personal.

Tip: Set your tax year start date early — it ensures all reports and summaries align with your actual tax reporting period.
