Currency and Locale Settings
Configure how monetary amounts and regional formatting appear throughout Latch.
Setting Your Currency
- Go to Settings > Preferences.
- Select your Currency from the dropdown.
- The change applies immediately across the app.
Supported Currencies
Latch supports all major currencies including:
- GBP (£) — British Pound Sterling.
- EUR (€) — Euro.
- USD ($) — US Dollar.
- AUD (A$) — Australian Dollar.
- CAD (C$) — Canadian Dollar.
- And many more.
Number Formatting
Number formatting adjusts based on your locale:
- UK/EU — 1,200.00 (comma for thousands, period for decimals).
- Some European locales — 1.200,00 (period for thousands, comma for decimals).
Impact of Currency Changes
Changing your currency:
- Updates how amounts are displayed across the app.
- Does not convert existing amounts (they remain at their recorded value).
- Affects new records going forward.
Multi-Currency
If you manage properties in different countries, amounts are recorded in the property's currency. The dashboard shows totals in your default currency with an approximate conversion.
Tip: Set your currency during initial setup and avoid changing it later — this keeps all your financial records consistent.
