Creating an Inventory Report
An inventory report documents the condition of a property and its contents at a specific point in time.
Steps
- Go to the property detail page.
- Click the Inventory tab.
- Click New Inventory Report.
- Select the type:
- Check-In — For the start of a tenancy.
- Check-Out — For the end of a tenancy.
- Interim Inspection — For mid-tenancy checks.
- Add rooms to the report.
Adding Rooms
For each room:
- Click Add Room and select the room type (Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Living Room, Hallway, etc.).
- For each item in the room, record:
- Item Name — e.g. "Oven", "Carpet", "Curtains".
- Condition — New, Good, Fair, Poor, or Damaged.
- Notes — Any specific observations.
- Photos — Upload photos of the item's condition.
- Repeat for all items in the room.
General Property Condition
Record the overall condition of:
- Walls and ceilings (marks, cracks, damp).
- Flooring (stains, damage, wear).
- Doors and windows (operation, locks, seals).
- Fixtures and fittings.
Saving
Click Save Report when complete. The report is linked to the property and can be accessed at any time.
Tip: Be thorough during check-in — a detailed inventory with photos is your best protection against deposit disputes.
