Linking Documents to Properties
Linking documents to properties keeps everything organised and accessible from the property detail page.
Linking During Upload
When uploading a document, use the Property dropdown to select which property (and optionally unit) the document relates to.
Linking Existing Documents
- Open the document from the Documents library.
- Click Link to Property.
- Select the property and optionally the unit.
- Click Save.
Additional Links
Documents can also be linked to:
- Leases — Associate a signed agreement with the relevant lease.
- Contacts — Link ID documents or references to a tenant or contractor.
- Maintenance Tickets — Attach quotes, invoices, or photos to tickets.
- Expenses — Link invoices to expense records.
A single document can have multiple links (e.g. linked to both a property and a lease).
Viewing Linked Documents
From any property, lease, contact, or ticket detail page, the Documents section shows all linked documents. Click any document to view or download it.
Removing Links
- Open the document.
- In the Links section, click the remove icon next to the link you want to delete.
- The document remains in your library but is no longer associated with that entity.
Tip: Link compliance certificates to both the property and the relevant lease for complete records.
