How to upload documents including PDFs, Word files, and images to your document library.

Uploading Documents
Store all your property-related documents securely in Latch for easy access and organisation.
How to Upload
- Click Documents in the sidebar.
- Click Upload Document.
- Drag and drop files into the upload area, or click to browse your device.
- For each document, enter:
- Name — A descriptive title.
- Property — Link to a specific property (optional).
- Labels — Add tags for organisation (optional).
- Click Upload.
Supported Formats
- PDF — Contracts, certificates, statements.
- Word — .doc and .docx files.
- Images — JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC.
- Spreadsheets — .xls and .xlsx files.
- Maximum size — 25 MB per file.
Bulk Upload
You can upload multiple files at once by selecting several files or dragging a batch into the upload area. Each file becomes a separate document entry.
Automatic Categorisation
When you upload a document, Latch may suggest a category based on the file name and content. Review the suggestion and adjust if needed.
Where Documents Appear
Uploaded documents appear in:
- The main Documents library.
- The linked property's Documents tab (if linked).
- The contact's profile (if linked to a contact).
Tip: Use descriptive names like "10 High St - Gas Safety Certificate 2025" to make documents easy to find later.
