Email Verification
Email verification confirms that you own the email address used to create your account.
How It Works
- After creating your account, Latch sends a verification email to your address.
- Open the email and click Verify Email.
- You are redirected to Latch and your account is verified.
Resending the Verification Email
If you did not receive the email:
- Log in to Latch.
- You will see a banner asking you to verify your email.
- Click Resend Verification Email.
- Check your inbox (and spam/junk folder).
Troubleshooting
Email Not Received
- Check your spam/junk folder.
- Ensure the email address is correct (check for typos).
- Wait a few minutes — emails can be delayed.
- Try the Resend option.
Link Expired
Verification links expire after 24 hours. If yours has expired:
- Log in to Latch.
- Click Resend Verification Email for a fresh link.
Wrong Email Address
If you entered the wrong email during sign-up:
- Log in with the email you used.
- Go to Settings > Profile.
- Change your email address.
- Verify the new address.
Why Verification Matters
Verification is required to:
- Receive email notifications.
- Send communications through Latch.
- Reset your password if forgotten.
Tip: Complete email verification immediately after creating your account — some features are limited until verification is done.
