Creating Your Account
Getting started with Latch is straightforward. Follow these steps to create your account.
Steps
- Visit the Latch website and click Get Started.
- Enter your details:
- Full Name — Your first and last name.
- Email Address — This will be your login email.
- Password — Choose a strong password (see requirements below).
- Click Create Account.
- Check your inbox for a verification email.
- Click the Verify Email link.
- Choose your role: Landlord or Tenant.
- Complete the onboarding flow for your role.
Password Requirements
Your password must:
- Be at least 8 characters long.
- Contain at least one uppercase letter.
- Contain at least one number.
- Not be a commonly used password.
Choosing Your Role
- Landlord — Access to the full property management suite: properties, payments, expenses, reports, maintenance, AI agent, and more.
- Tenant — Access to the Tenant Portal: view lease details, report maintenance, view payments, and communicate with your landlord.
Social Sign-Up
You can also create an account using:
- Google — Sign up with your Google account.
- Microsoft — Sign up with your Microsoft account.
These methods skip the email verification step.
Tip: Use an email address you check regularly — Latch sends important notifications about payments, maintenance, and compliance to this address.
