Property Valuation Tracking
Latch lets you record and track property valuations to understand your portfolio's worth.
Adding Valuation Details
- Go to the property detail page.
- Navigate to the Financials section (or click Edit).
- Enter:
- Purchase Price — What you originally paid for the property.
- Purchase Date — When you acquired the property.
- Current Value — Your estimate of the property's current market value.
- Click Save.
How Valuations Are Used
- Dashboard — Your total portfolio value is calculated from the sum of all property current values.
- Reports — The P&L report can reference property values for ROI calculations.
- AI Agent — Ask the agent questions like "What is my total portfolio value?" and it uses these figures.
Updating Valuations
We recommend updating your property valuations annually or whenever you get a formal valuation. Simply edit the Current Value field on the property.
Tip: You can ask the AI agent to summarise your portfolio's equity position based on current values minus outstanding mortgages.
