Property Insurance Details
Keep your insurance information organised by recording it against each property.
Adding Insurance Details
- Open the property detail page.
- Go to the Insurance section (or click Edit).
- Enter:
- Provider — The name of your insurance company.
- Policy Number — Your unique policy reference.
- Cover Type — Buildings, Contents, Buildings & Contents, or Landlord.
- Annual Premium — How much you pay per year.
- Renewal Date — When the policy needs renewing.
- Click Save.
Insurance Reminders
Latch will notify you when an insurance policy is approaching its renewal date, so you never accidentally let your cover lapse.
Insurance as an Expense
Insurance premiums are a deductible expense. When you record your annual insurance payment in the Expenses section, link it to the correct property to keep your P&L report accurate.
Tip: Store a copy of your insurance certificate in the Documents section linked to the property for easy access.
