Using the Listings Messages Inbox
The Listings Messages area is your central inbox for pre-tenancy conversations with prospective tenants.
Where to Find It
- Go to Listings.
- Open Messages.
- Select a conversation from the left-hand thread list.
What You Can Do
- View all message history for each applicant.
- Search threads by listing, applicant name, or keyword.
- Filter by unread, awaiting reply, and archived.
- Reply directly and keep communication tied to the listing.
Best Practices
- Keep one thread per applicant to preserve context.
- Record key outcomes in the conversation before moving to viewing or offer stages.
- Use clear subject lines when sharing documents or requesting details.
Handover to Lease Setup
When an applicant is ready to move forward:
- Confirm final terms in the thread.
- Move to viewing confirmation or offer stage.
- Create the lease from the listing workflow when agreed.
Tip: Keep all applicant communication in Latch rather than personal email so your team has a full audit trail.
