Editing Contact Information
Keep your contact records up to date by editing their details whenever information changes.
Steps
- Go to Contacts and select the contact.
- Click the Edit button.
- Update the fields you need to change:
- Name, email, phone number.
- Contact type or company.
- Notes.
- Click Save Changes.
What You Can Edit
- Name — Update if a contact changes their name.
- Email — Changing the email updates where communications are sent.
- Phone — Update phone numbers as needed.
- Type — Change from one role to another (e.g. if a contractor becomes a tenant).
- Company — Update or add a company affiliation.
- Notes — Add or update free-text notes.
Impact of Changes
- Changing a contact's email does not affect their Tenant Portal access if they have one. They will need to update their login separately.
- Changing the type does not affect existing links to leases or tickets.
Tip: If a tenant's email changes, remind them to update their Tenant Portal login credentials too.
