Using Mentions in Chat
Mentions let you reference specific entities in your chat messages, helping the AI Agent understand exactly what you are asking about.
How to Use Mentions
Type @ followed by the entity type and name:
- @property — Reference a specific property (e.g. @10 High Street).
- @tenant — Reference a specific tenant (e.g. @John Smith).
- @lease — Reference a specific lease.
- @contact — Reference any contact.
Autocomplete
As you type after the @, an autocomplete dropdown appears showing matching entities. Select the one you want to reference.
Why Use Mentions
Mentions provide precise context to the Agent:
- Without mention: "What rent is due?" — Agent may need to ask which property.
- With mention: "What rent is due for @10 High Street?" — Agent immediately knows the context.
Examples
- "Show me all expenses for @Oak Street Flat."
- "When does @Sarah Jones's lease expire?"
- "Create a maintenance ticket for @Flat 2."
- "Draft a rent chase email for @John Smith."
- "What is the current value of @10 High Street?"
Multiple Mentions
You can use multiple mentions in a single message:
- "Has @John Smith paid rent for @Flat 3 this month?"
- "Move @Jane Doe from @Flat 1 to @Flat 5."
Tip: Get into the habit of using @mentions — they make your questions more precise and the Agent's answers more accurate.
