Viewing Property Expenses
Each property has an expenses tab that shows all costs linked to that property.
Accessing Property Expenses
- Navigate to Properties and select a property.
- Click the Expenses tab on the property detail page.
What You Will See
- A list of all expenses recorded against this property.
- Each expense shows the date, category, description, amount, and whether a receipt is attached.
- Expenses are sorted by date with the most recent first.
Filtering Expenses
Use the filter controls to narrow down expenses by:
- Date range — View expenses for a specific period.
- Category — Filter by expense type (repairs, insurance, utilities, etc.).
Property vs Unit Expenses
For multi-unit properties, expenses can be recorded at either the property level (e.g. building insurance) or the unit level (e.g. appliance repair in Flat 2). Both appear in the property expenses view.
Tip: Regularly reviewing property expenses helps you spot unusual costs and ensures nothing is missed at tax time.
